Coiled Tubing Hydraulic Anchor

SECTORS
The DTI Coiled Tubing Anchor is a hydraulically activated tool used to securely anchor the CT tool-string inside the tubing. The CT Anchor is commonly used in operations where maintaining a stationary tool-string, even when subjected to high axial loads, is critical. Popular applications include tubing cutting, high flow production logging, high pressure treatments, perforating and hydraulic stroking operations.
When the BHA differential is increase over the DTI Coiled Tubing Anchor activation pressure the hardened slips will engage the tubing wall. A high strength cone supports the slips to generate a large holding force. Reducing the differential pressure causes the slips to retract and the CT BHA can again be moved up and down the well. The DTI CT Tubing Anchor also features an emergency shear release mechanism.
Features and Benefits
- Large gripping force generated by cone and slip design.
- Can be re-set many times in one run.
- Emergency shear release.
- Can anchor in multiple tubing sizes by changing the slips only.
- Available for tubing sizes from 2 3/8” to 7”
