The DTI Tractor Jar is designed to operate in combination with a Wireline Tractor. Located just below the Tractor in the tool string it is able to provide dependable, controlled upward and downward jarring.
The DTI Tractor Jar incorporates DTI Spring Jar technology which includes integral firing load adjustment for both the up jar and for the down jar. This enables the firing load to be adjusted on the tool string without any disassembly. The standard jars have firing loads from 450 lbs through to 1300 lbs and the heavy-duty jars have firing loads from 800 lbs through to 3800 lbs depending on size.
The bi-directional Tractor Jar should be run with an accelerator which provided the stored energy for an effective impact.
Heavy duty versions of the Tractor Jars, to give increased firing loads, are available.
