DTI Introduces New Brand Identity and Website to Reflect Growth and Diversification

DTI has unveiled a new brand identity created to reflect its modern-day business and enabling it to better serve and engage with a more diverse range of stakeholders.
CEO, Gary Smart, explains: “Our company is growing and evolving, and we recognise that we must be positioned effectively to transition our products into a new energy future. Our oil and gas heritage is incredibly important and will endure for years to come, but we’re keen to expand our business to benefit other sectors. Having already delivered technology to support hydrogen storage, we have ambitions for our downhole solutions to be deployed in all types of energy wells around the world, still including oil and gas and gas storage, but also CCUS and geothermal.
“Through a process of discovery and evaluation we have developed a new brand that not only captures who we are and what we do, but also our values and approach to doing business, so that it will stand the test of time as a strong, unique and meaningful marque.”
In developing the brand we have adopted a vibrant orange to represent energy. Energy in the way that we work and the clients that we work with. Our secondary colours represent the energy transition spectrum, enhancing the brand’s impact and diversity. The form of the logotype represents critical thinking, strength and innovation. It draws inspiration from our past, present and future, acknowledging engineering and the progressive evolution of technology. The cut-away square details adaptability, scalability and problem solving. This is placed in stark contrast to the bigger picture, demonstrating the two perspectives that we apply in our pragmatic approach to delivering industry solutions. The sharp lines of the logo show precision, focus and forward-thinking and these angles and lines extend beyond the logo across our communications. They also harmonise with our new brand icons that symbolise the cross-sector functionality of our technology.
