Brochure - Mechanical sealing solutions for water shut off and zonal isolation

Water management poses an increasing burden over the life of producing wells, from its separation and disposal to the treatment of associated in-well scale and corrosion. Combating the issue with mechanical sealing solutions can be highly effective in extending productive life and minimising cost and risk. DTI’s range of plugs and packers are ideal for this application across a wide range of wells and offer the following advantages:

Our PKB bridge plug meets the need for a low-cost, easy to run plug in 2-⅜” to 4-½” completions up to 5000 psi and can be run, set and pulled using standard tools. It is typically supplied with melon or prong type equalising devices however it can be used as a gauge hanger, standing valve or injection valve. It can also be used as a packoff as part of a straddle sleeve and for gas lift systems.

Our Inter-Expansion (IX) plugs fill a gap between our PKB and UHX sealing solutions. They have been designed with an excellent working pressure (up to 7,500 psi) versus ID ratio (up to 7”), with straddle sleeves in mind and are API 11D V3 rated. The IX Plugs can be run and set on slickline/e-line using a powered setting tool or on coiled tubing using a hydraulic setting tool.

Finally, our unfolding metal M-Bubble technology offer the industry an unrivalled combination of high diameter deltas (up to 300%), pressure rating and temperature rating and have built an excellent track record in the field. These products have the strength and durability for serious high-pressure sealing and can isolate pressured and flowing zones in a fast and cost-effective single run. As well as being suitable for water shut off the M-Bubble plugs can also be used for zonal isolation, plug and abandonment and in CCUS applications.
