The DTI Prong Type Equalizing Valve is a flow control device which is combined with a lock to create a plug. The valve consists of a housing that is made up to the bottom of the lock and a prong that has a running/pulling fish neck on one end and a seal packing stack at the other. The Prong can be run into the lock after the lock has been set in the tubing and seal off the equalizing ports in the housing. These equalizing ports can be re-opened by pulling the prong prior to pulling the lock.

The housing can be designed to suit any lock and for bottom no-go locks it can incorporate the no-go shoulder. It can also be extended in length to provide a sump for excess debris.

The prong type equalizing valve combined with a lock is a two run to pull and two run to set system.
