The DTI Coiled Tubing (CT) Heavy Duty (HD) Hydraulic Pulling Tool is a hydraulic release action tool used for running or retrieving downhole tools with standard size external fishing necks.
The HD Hydraulic Pulling Tool has a collet dog ring arranged inside a cylinder body providing 360 degree shoulder engagement to the fishing neck, maximizing the bearing load and contact area with the fish.
Release is achieved by increasing CT flow/pressure to operate a piston which positively disengages the collet dog ring from the fishing neck. The HD Hydraulic Pulling Tool is available in sizes covering most standard external fishing neck diameters and can be adapted to suit non-standard fish necks.
Bell guide skirts are also available to help centralise the tool in larger bores and to guide the fish towards the collet.
